Discover the richness and vibrancy of oil pastels, a medium that offers much of the depth and luminosity of oil paint without the long drying times or technical complexity. In this workshop participants will create an expressive pastel painting inspired by a botanical form of their choosing. We'll begins with an exploration of color theory through a series of small studies, allowing each person to discover a palette that feels uniquely their own. Drawing inspiration from artists celebrated for their bold use of color, including Georgia O'Keeffe and Henri Matisse, participants will layer, blend, and build luminous color on raw canvas. At the end of the workshop, participants have the option to mat and frame their artwork, leaving not only with a finished painting, but with a beautiful, ready-to-display piece for their home. One drink is included per ticket with additional food and beverage available for purchase from triple crossing brewery. No experience necessary. This workshop is designed with adults in mind, but teens (12+) are more than welcome to participate alongside a parent/adult.
